‘With over a decade worth of experience in the NHS, specialising in Emergency Medicine, I usually care for patients at the point when it is too late for preventative health measures. I wanted to set up THE WELL PLACE to create a holistic space where people can understand their own health, identify potential problems early and optimise their wellbeing. I aim to be a friendly face to my clients, develop a positive therapeutic relationship, and provide the ability for health checks in a calm and relaxing clinic, supporting people to monitor their health and achieve their goals, year on year.’

FAQs
Do I have to feel unwell to come to THE WELL PLACE?
No, if you have symptoms of ill health, this is not the place for you and it is advisable you book to see see your GP. THE WELL PLACE is for people who feel well, but want to better understand their health.
Can I get a well person check for free on the NHS?
You may be able to yes! Some GP surgeries offer a basic well person check if you are aged 40-74 and do not meet any exclusion criteria. Have a browse through the packages to see what works for you.
Will you prescribe me any medications?
THE WELL PLACE is a screening clinic and will not prescribe new medications or make changes to your current medications. If there are suggestions for action based on your results, you will get a letter to give to your GP.
Are the results shared with my GP?
If any results are identified during your health check which need further investigation, you will be provided with a letter which you can take to a GP appointment - results are not sent automatically.
How regularly do I visit?
This is a personal choice, for most people a comprehensive health check is recommended every year. If you want to review things earlier than 12 months, this can be discussed this at your results appointment.
Do I need to prepare for my appointment?
It is helpful if you bring any prescribed medications with you. Any other specific instructions will be sent prior to your appointment.
